seeing the girl in the ring just made it lose any appeal at all.
As well as the silly horse scene, what was up with that.

The girls mother in the japanese ring killed herself by jumping into a volcano, rather than falling off a cliff, its these things which makes the original ring kick ass.

I watched The Ring about a month or two ago. I wouldn't call it scary just freaky. That girl was spooky, surprised me when she stepped out the tv though.

Is there any info on the sequel?

Upcominghorrormovies.com says the ring 2 will not be like the sequel to ringu. All they know is that naomi watts will return for the sequel that film next year. i have got ringu 1 and 2, plus ring 0:birthday. The latter show how she grow up and gets real good at the end. only problem is i have yet to find that one to download but i do have ringu 1 and 2. When she come out of tv in 1st one that has got to be really spooky, but if you see ring 0, she kind of is possessed by her mom, and her mom by her. weird stuff indeed. best one is ringu 2, more scarier than ist. let hope the ring 2 will be as scary

I haven't found any movie scary since I was like 6, which is kind of a shame. My sister saw The Ring though and it completely freaked her out.

thisiswhoweare

if your talking about the japanese one then there is a 2nd one.
Ring 0 (the third ringu movie), as well as ring 2 (released same time as ringu). There is also rasen/spiral and virus.

Ringu was a few notches away from making me wet my pants when I was 12!!! My stupid primary school teachers think it was funny for us to watch a japanese horror movie in the school's av room as a leaver's gift.

there's a second one and a third in the making or already made...all in Japanese...
the classics were made ages ago during the early 90's in Jap as well. They only started to remake it in 96 or 97 then hollywood made their own.

Try watching other jap horror films like Dark Waters...
well I didn't watch the 2nd but *SPOILER*

It's like after the exams and all. We have like 4 exams a year at age 12. A horror movie is the least they could do, and until then they still want us dead. Those teachers, damned.

Naomi watts indeed is making ring 2, as for the japanese ones it like this
Ringu
ring 2
ring 3
ring 0(the 4th one that prequel to first one)
I have yet to find anything on how to get ring 3 because i need it to complete the set of four as i have the others, even the american version of the ring. Another good asian horror is THE EYE, man is that spooky in places

I think the 2nd one is more scarier because of the end scene where she climb up the well, and for the scene when the mother disappears and reappears, man did that scare my mom when she saw it. The eyes got her real spooked out

Theres no ring 3 im afraid.

Just virus and rasen/spiral.

Ring 2 the scene where the tv in the hospitals start showing the well is damn creepy.

The eye is brill, but the ending reminds me of final destination. The noodle shop ghost grossed me out.

The Horror fanatic
09-11-2003, 04:28 AM
yes wasnt that what ring 3 was suppose to be ring 3:spiral. That all i heard about it and it was never coming out in the u.k which totally sucks. I doubt it as good as ring 2 anyway.
best scene in the eye is when the dead woman springs over the table at her, man that was spooky as hell, or even the one in the lift with the dead guy

thisiswhoweare

you could always try to find it on emule (i got it there) or get it imported.
I actually thought the first ghost in the hospital was the scariest, the one who said im cold.

ringu is very good, but the sequel is far better because more get killed in it and it go more in depth into the story which partly in the ringu
