New to USENET Need XBOX 360 help!!

Hi,
So I'm new to the whole Newsgroup downloading scene.
I recently modded my 360 by following a nice guide I found on the net.

I'm having trouble finding info about Burning the games however...

I've read from one source that all you need to do is burn the downloaded dvd file by using CLONEDVD.
Another source says that you have to patch the files according to what DVD drive you have in your 360.

Before I start wasting expensive DL disks I'd like to know exactly what it is you have to do.

If you're downloading Scene-ripped games, you won't need to patch anything, as they come with the patches already applied. Also, I'd recommend ImgBurn (Google it) to burn the images (burn the .dvd file, not the .iso), as it's free, and just as good (if not better) as CloneDVD.
