What's The Biggest File You've Downloaded

For me it was the matrix game on 4 cd's which was about 2.1 - 2.4 gb, took me about two weeks to get, in the end they were corrupt that taught me never to download cd images on kazaa ever again.

Recently i downloaded a 2 cd version of the matrix reloaded movie which was about 1.4 gigs. :D

normally i just download music though

now that i have adsl, the sky's the limit (not literally, but...)

It was like 800 megs or something. All I know is that it took like 12 hours about.

I was so happy once I fired my first bullet.

Now it takes me about 20 minutes!! lol

800mb in 12 hours on 56k is impossible, the max you could do would be about 80mb in 5 hours.

800 MB on 56k in 12 hours...hmmm...i smell shite...

On KL with 56k, bad memories, about 700mb.
On bb now, usually 1.5gb hq movies via NG.

Ghost Recon was 200mb when i got it not 800. It wasnt that good it only has 12 levels.

fellowship of the ring, 2 parts, 700+ MB each. about 50 min into part 2, the audio/visual sinc jumps off by around 15 min as well. se la vie.

The biggest I DL on 56k was SP1 for XP, and that was HELL! I could imagine full length movies.

back in the day, i tried to download a 50 mb demo of diablo 1 from a site.. it took me forever because i didn't have a download manager and i kept getting disconnected. who would've though i'd be downloading 700mb movies now with 56k

Yea same for me. I only really download movies off kazaa so 500-700 meg files are pretty common in my download list (even if they do take 60 odd hours to download <_< ).

when i had 56k i think the biggest file i downloaded was a 13 meg game patch, even that, i was close to suicide, thank god for dsl. the patch took me 13 hours to download :/

Patience is the key when downloading huge files on 56k, lot&#39;s of patience. :D >_< :sleeping: :swear: :D

it is something that I have come to live with. The first time I downloaded a movie, I almost ripped my eyes out. It was the Matrix, and it was only a 600mb one. Like 12 movies later, and 700mb to 800mb in normal. So when I see anything below 50hrs I jump with joy.
Also, I just downloaded a movie the fastest ever. Animal House in 4 days. And it&#39;s 700mb. Downloaded 150mb every 7hrs, that was pretty good.

Hmm, the biggest file for me was WarCraft 3, which was bout 723 MB, took about 30 or so hours.

and so many other single cd dloads and so many camera versions and so many tv series.....almost 10gig per mth was the norm for me on dailup untill yesterday when i got a slow form of dsl..5x dailup is better than dailup for the same cost..i waited for 4 years for them to upgrade my exchange since i 1st heard about dsl..

this may seem small now...but this was more than 3 years back...
have enjoyed the wonders of dsl ever since... :D
