when it tries to extract this file it gives the following error :

"Component transfer error"
Component Sounds
File group Common stream files
File G:&#092;sounds&#092;MAPS.SMO
Error gegevensfout (cyclische redundantiecontrole)

is there anyone that had/is having the same problem and /or does anyone know what it means???
AND MOST IMPORTANT.......DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION 4 THIS &#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;?????

It&#39;s a crc error. The file just got a little corrupted, that&#39;s all. KCF (http://www.geocities.com/drspud11/) will let you redownload the corrupted section & fix the file. And there&#39;s plenty of info on the site to help you find the right section to redownload. :)

P.S.: After redownloading, test the .bin with CDmage before burning it.

that did not work... it still errors ??&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;
BTW would it make a difference wether i burn it on cd or use daemon?
and where do .cue files fit in to this (what are they?)

im such a noob B)

If you get big files from kazaa you need to expect your going to have errors.

Use CDMage to repair your images before you burn them. i only know how to use CDmage with a BIN/CUE .. im not sure if it works with other images.

If you have a ISO or other Image , then use Ultra ISO to change it to a BIN & CUE. then load the Cue on CDMAge. then scan for corruption..... then repair corruption....... if that does not work chose rebuild sector fields.

After the BIN is repaired then you can burn it as is, or change it back to another image format

that kinda like did it
file was still corrupt but this time i could ignore it and it continued installing..
now let us see what consequenses it had ..

just next time DO NOT DOWNLOAD CD IMAGE&#39;S FROM KAZAA CAUSE IT ALLWAYS GOT CRC ERRORS use bittorent for image&#39;s its longer but for 100%, never got any errors ,just an advice nothing personal against kazaa,k-lite good for music little utilitys sometimes for movies(it have to be old movie to have a good dl speed).......anyway i&#39;m using kazaa only for this futures nothing more ...& sharing of cause.. :rolleyes:
