I just recieved a letter from Davenport Lyons demanding £520 for d/l 'C**l of J**rez' via P2P client Utorrent.
Just how screwed down is this. Am I f**cked? :ermm:

I never actually got the fookin game. I hadn't even heard of it before I got this letter. Trouble is, I use Utorrent to d/l football matches and am wondering if someone has used my unsecured wireless network to d/l it? Am really puzzled cos they seem to have loads of detail that doesn't mean much to me, but they seem to think is significant and shows me as guilty of copyright infringement (filesharing) with this particular game.

yeah, but you should download the game.
it has nice slowmo shootings, and especially the end scene is worth it. :yup:

Just ignore it.

Kinda figured there would be whole load of people asking a similar question now. Unless I'm the only one in the UK that they are going after?
Can't see them just dropping things after all the bother they appear to have gone to.
Am quite worried at this point.

You didn't download it though. You are innocent, so let them take it to the next level if they want to look foolish.

As Alien5 said ignore it.

As an aside, is it likely that someone else has been using your internet? Check your wireless logs, etc. If they have you might want to tighten up your security a bit...

I wouldn't know how to check wireless logs and as the date they claim the offence was committed on was last April and I have had a couple of reinstalls done since then, I doubt there is a log to check. Also, my wireless security isn't so bad now as I picked up a few tips and am using WPA2. (I think)
