pushin muh luck [gft req]

I would like to push my luck (not too lucky) and request a gft invite.

why do i want this? because i hear they have a pretty good community. tightnit. very helpful members and polite staff. as well as the userbase being mature. also its noratio. now i kno this still doesnt mean you can hit and run. i realize there are still minimum seedtimes. which i have no problem with. its just nice to not have to worry about ratio. i missed the invite thing on irc like a week back (my net was all kinds of screwed up). im no noob in the torrent scene but also not a vetern either. been around for about 2 yrs (still using my first account ever which was tti). i know how things work.

now i realize that my chances are probobally very slim to none. and i very well may not get it but hey you cant blame somebody for trying right. its like they say the only dumb question or in this case request is the one not asked. feel free to ask me any questions you like (im willing to answer anything you need...i have no secrets). hopefully somebody out there has one they are willing to spare on me.

nah, it's not you. There are many other ppl reqing at the same time as you. I liked your req, it seemed sincere. But I don't think there are invites out there, I think just staff has them now. So I think it's useless to request.

But I think they will open recruitment on irc in a while again. maybe...

thats a question i expected to come up actually. and like i said i have no secrets. the truth is back in my beginning days here i did unfortanatly make a few trades (3 i believe). the last being about the middle of 2007. now i realize that this fact alone could very easily have screwed me and totally removed my chances. but im not going to lie about it. i hid my btrep after i quit trading. if anyone want to see it as proof of when my last trade was (most accurate way i can think of to prove im not a part of that anymore since nobody wa nts to trade with someone w/o rep) i will gladly unhide it. we all make mistakes rite? if my past did screw me tho i ts a consequence of my actions that i will have to live with as it says in my sig.

anyway, it was nearly 2 years ago, and you expressed your change in manners several times, so i could in no way insert you in the traders group.

I got in luckily through a friend after the doors where closed.... for someone with your speed you would definately love it. I think its as close as you can get to FTN without being in it. Unfortunately invites are only given to staff at this moment I believe but hopefully you'll get it. Good luck.

that is correct. i do have ftn. which i use daily. and the community is great. to answer your question i hear that the packs on gft are outstanding. a very large selection to be exact. as well as lots of "site rips". as well as has a great number of active torrents and speeds are outstanding. even on torrents with only 1 seed. ive heard it mentioned basically as a ratioless tti only better.

no, you stand correct there.
Plus, it's yet a "young" site with a lot of progression to be done. and the staff there is quite friendly indeed, as i already had to contact with them.
they had disabled my account because they mistaken my nick there with some trader dude. so i went speak with them, they said in fact they didn't remember why the ban was, asked me to come the day after, and the account was reenabled after they checked it was the wrong guy.
at many other sites, as soon as they tell you "u wanted to trade it", you get a immediate kick and ban. there no, they listened, looked, and corrected their error.

about the packs/siterips, yes they do have a lot on many stuff that you don't find ordinarily, including mobile apps packs etc. and they are already near 20k torrents.

Invites cost 5 Euros, if you managed to get someone to help you to donate and give you the invite then you won't have to wait.

Like what Cabalo has said there's much more to be improved on but they get almost everything scene you can think of.

still have hopes that ill run across someone that does have an invite and would be willing to part with it. i know that is very slim to none. but gonna keep trying as thats my only option. with me not knowing anyone on a personal level who is a member and all.

here is not even a question of people liking you or not, it's a question on how scarce are the invites actually.
we all saw this coming, they were filling steadily with localized recruitments, etc. now, they'll change their policy. Your best shot is that eventually they open IRC signups, but that's a long shot.

I personally hate traders and u clearly have a history of trading.true u might have chosen to change paths but also it might be that u just created a new account specifically for trading..i think thats what they call reasonable doubt..u have made a good request and it sounds honest...but it really beats me as to why you would want gft yet you have ftn these two are clearly almost similar...my worst fear is seeing the gft getting traded under a different username in the trader's section...and also where do you take your higher level tracker invites anyways?and 426 posts in 1 1/2 years isnt really that good IM0..so more good giveaways from you and a little better explanations and maybe opinion of you may change.....gft is only for people who truly deserve it just so u know.

He doesnt trade anymore and he is in places where traders arent welcome. He has been straight forward and honest in this thread and 2 senior members pm'd me on different sites on his behalf.
