Recycle Bin moves everytime I restart the PC

I'm using Vista64 Home Premium SP1. Lately everytime I start the PC the recycle bin starts in the left column of icons, I move it to the lower right but the next time I restart windows it moves again. I do not have auto arrange turned on, but I do have Align to Grid selected along with Show Desktop Icons. That's it, what can I do to freeze the recycle bin in the lower right corner of my screen?

Are you shutting down the PC correctly? I mean are you restarting without shutting down?

Hi Zap , long time no see . Do you use TuneUp Utilities 2009 ? I know they have a tool to correct and repair Icon cache . Its under TuneUp Styler panel .


The other tool is Reload Icons , I'd try that .

Hi Peat. It stopped moving on it's own, for now. But I'll be watching. One false move recycle bin, just one. :)
