No, because I didn't have the time to the research and you weren't around to tell me. Bar steward.

Consider it fortuitous. They all pretty much suck ass at the moment.

Trying to weave through a recession is tricky. If it is a long one buy staples like Supermarkets - stuff people have to keep buying. If it is short lived then some of the banks (the ones that survive - will be bargain basement). Or spread your risk - we could do beta but you don't want me to do that FFS! I'm boring myself.

Bit pished hactually - watched the rugby - what a cracking game - pity we lost really.

I was going to go for RBS shares. But as I understand you have to open a trading account and pay for the privilege of buying the things.

Well they are certainly cheap. Yes you need an account - relatively cheap if you are only buying small amounts

That seems too much hassle. I'll just go buy a car at the car auction and sell it on.

Yes other commodities can be a good bet. Antiques were the thing last recession. It is all in perceived value and where it is likely to go.

A gold mine is good too.

Very much so. He says the blue matches his eyes. He's so vain.
