Do you have a Windows XP CD?

Just boot with that. It's all you need.

It sucks. I've played with it and put it away. Unless you have a laptop, there's no need for it. The media center edition is unsupported now anyway and the so called corp version won't stay authorised.

the so called corp version won't stay authorised.

Where did you hear this, balamm?

It's been 'authorized' for almost 2 years now.

By the way... That CD key is no good. Don't use it.

You talking about the 5 in 1? Cause no mater how many times I installed it ( with the corp key) or patched it or licenced it, It always gave me the "you have 30 days" message after a reboot. I used valid keys and everthing else I could come up with and No Go!

The pro version misbehaved similarly. The media version isn't supported, most of the URLs are dead and the stuff that makes it a media edition is either nonfuntional or buggy.

My own unbutchered disk does just what it's supposed to. No winbeta crap or added MS bullshit checking on me.

@balamm, I cannot see how your last post answers my question. Could you clarify please?

You don't know what the 5 in 1 is then... It includes tablet PC, home, pro, corp, and media center in one install. What you get depends on what you choose and the key you enter.
It's another winbeta hack job.

Where did I hear this version won't stay authorised? From the OS itself!

As I added, My clean, unhacked copy does what it is supposed to.
No slipstreaming, no winbeta hacks. Although the key was one of those leaked, MS has provided me with the methods to legitimise it. Along with some other very cool downloads and links.

They like me a lot :D

If your 5 in 1 cd is bootable then it will boot. And if its not then you need to get 1 bootable cd then only you can boot...
