I live in the uk and have 150k ntl broadband whioch only goes to download 30kb/s max. Could someone give me a few names of companies and what download speeds are so i can decide whats the best and how much it costs thank u

What part of the UK are you from? I too am on NTL 150k but theres not really another alternative in my area :(

Why not upgrade your ntl?
I'm on ntl's 1mb, max download 120KB.

SBC Yahoo downloads at 270kb/s sometimes

ur 4 main alternatives.

512k cable, aprox £25-35 month about 64kbs, 16k up

1mb cable, aprox £35-45 month, 128kbs. 32k up

providers above, telewest and ntl.

2mb cable £50-55 month, speeds 256kbs, 32k up

or dsl.

512k dsl, £25-35 month.
