anyone out there lookin to snag utilities off the net, watch out with what you uninstall if you find out you dont like the prog. i tried out norton utilities and half the prog didnt seem to want to work, so i uninstalled it. during the uninstall, it said there was a file that wasnt being used that it was about to uninstall, i figured, if it isnt being used by another prog, why not? IT F*^'D UP MY NAV. had to restore system to yesterdays restore point, not too much of a task, but a pain in the ass none the less. (the more experienced members of this forum may not need this post, but for p2p newbies, use better common sense than i did) :P

U should have though what the file would be sharing with if u have other norton products installed...never mind mate.,every body messes up sometime or another.

Everyone does mess up at sometime or another. I have done so plenty of times. More than my ego would ever allow me to comment on. But in all fairness- Norton products all have been known to have a very "delicate relationship" with one-another and on your system in general. Altering anyone of them almost always seems to affect something else. Either another Norton product or an important windows file. It does not make any discretion or discriminate about what it fucks over. :(

yeah, learned that the hard way, thats why i posted, maybe someone else
wont have to
what it was i think is i have a stand alone set up for NAV, and utilities is part of system works, which includes NAV, and during the uninstall it used no discretion on what files to pull out, but the restore worked (thankfully cause i dont have the NAV disc) :D
