This Morning Norton Alerted Me Of Several Virus's/Trojan's Source: C:\WINDOWS\System32\96139162.exe

Here A Pic.....

Norton Couldn't Delete Or Quarintee These Things So I Want Some Help On What To Do Thanks

okay.....norton just gave another virus warning(same one) ans said it auto deleted it anyway so is it gone now? :blink: where couldve i got it from?

Removal Instructions

The following instructions pertain to all current and recent Symantec antivirus products, including the Symantec AntiVirus and Norton AntiVirus product lines.


Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
Update the virus definitions.
Restart the computer in Safe mode or VGA mode.
Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as Trojan.Adclicker.
Delete the value that was added to the registry.

i dont know too much about these things stoopy, someone else might have some better advice for you. if it was me tho', i'd want to make sure i got rid of it. if you follow your own link in your first post you'll get full easy to follow instructions on what you need to know (the safe mode, restore, registry etc).

are you crazy your info could be sent to god knows who, it will delete and eat system resources it... well there is too much don't do anything, only thing to do is clean system boss right away :o :o :lol:

especially those worm files, you dont sound too concerned with security, but when that worm starts crashin your system, you'll change your mind quick
best advice, do it now, and symantecs site will give you step by step if you need it

yeah, but its advised that you check your registry for left overs, cause system restore will enable the worm to copy itself, thats also why you disable restore when you edit your reg
