ok, the ati radeon 9800pro is going to set me back at least 290 odd quid. Ive looked on ebuyer, overclockers...basically the usual, are there any alternative places that i can get my hands on this card for any cheaper? preferably OEM....

Dont go with those "other" makers of the card...
get an official ATI Radeon Version.. trust me, it'll have the highest Mhz on Clock and Memory speeds, besides the 128mb video memory itself.

dude, u can get it for 250 usd on buyxtremegear, and dealsonic has good prices. try pricewatch

Anu, although you may have the power, I would not recommend buying a used graphics card. It may have been damaged from the previous user and the hassle that causes may be a big one.
