I am new to using FTP's and would like a little help. I downloaded cuteftp 5.0 and installed,cracked etc. I would like to know how to make an ftp site.I just want to share some larger files with some friends but can't seem to figure this out.
Please no flames as I am new to this and have no clue about it and I know somebody on here can give me a good answer.Thanks in advance.

I have bulletproof ftp all setup. How do I know what my FTp address is (ie ftp://ftp.xxx.com) . I just want to know what to tell my friends to type in order to share the files. Thanks again for any help.

its your ip address & if your behind a firewall its your ip followed by the port
like 0.0.0.0:8080
if you don't know your ip
cmd->ipconfig /all
or go here

if your not on a lan or bhind a router open up a command prompt and type ipconfig /all

and your ip address is what youll want them to connect to on port 21.

If you have a router or firewall or on a lan make sure that you dont give them a private ip adress like 192.168.x or 10.0.1.x as most of those subnets are for internal lan use and cannot be connected to from the internet. If so then go to one of those "whats my ip sites" in order to find your "public" ip address.
