I just have an old viewsonic E655 15". I bought it used a while back because my 17" blew up and I couldn't afford a new one.The reason I am still using it is because the picture quality is about 10 times better than my 17 was and I haven't seen any new monitors in my price range with as good quality.

I use a Hansol 900P 19 inch for my main monitor. I have my All In Wonder 9000 piped out to my 3 Gun Sony, Projecting on to a sweet 6 foot Sony Silver screen for 1800 lines of res. With the Remote Wonder for the ATI 9000 I got no need to leave the couch. Now if I could program it to type.....well maybe a cordless keyboard B)

I gots me an 17" Imagequest q770. A pretty good monitor and very small which is good for the limited desk space I got. It's a 17" screen in a 15" case.

What's up with the laptop, what are its specs, just curious. And those laptop monitors are pretty small and don't look that great, eh? Are you considering upgrading to an attachable external monitor?

On my main computer I use a Viewsonic G810 21" monitor which I bought pretty much on the cheap. On my other machine, I have a Gateway Destination 31" monitor that I thought was going to be cool for gaming, but since Gateway hasn't written a driver that jibes with Win XP, the highest resolution I can get is 640 x 480

You shouldn't use 60 Hz - it's bad for the eyes.

Try and get up to 85Hz or so, or at least above 70.

60 Hz is not too bad in Europe, but it would be v bad in North America or Japan. That's because their mains frequency is 60Hz so you get strobing.

But I agree that higher rates are better.

Edit: Oh, Compag V75, 1024x768 @ 85Hz
