The forum is very slow today ,is only my problem?

It can be that there is some lag here and there due many things that are running which we don't see.

A boad does not only generate board traffic - there are many invisible things that "eat" resources.

Some examples:

- Email notifications (subscribed topics)

- Email bounces (1000's of memners have an invalid email address and are subscribed to topics - meaning email bounces back to the server - you should ask vb how many bounced emails he gets every hour to his inbox)

- moderators move topics (if you have a huge database then it can be a heavy process since every single post needs to be altered with the new topic id etc)

Such things take a lot of resources which *can* cause a little lag for some secs or mins depending if everything happens at the same time etc.

Not much we can do about it :(

Sometimes this forum is too slow for me too. How can I fix it???

yeah, it's so slow i am reading the pages from my cache. when i hit refresh I get the error msg.

page not found sounds more like a dns problem on your side. It could be that it is slow while the server is processing things like posted above but 404 should not show up - maybe try a CTRL + F5 refresh here and there

It's also not really slow for me right now... *wonders*
