Have a minor question..

I've always been wondering this.. you know when you are downloading or seeding a torrent. In the Peers or Seeds column there's this listing of say... 69(1087).

Now I know what peers and seeds mean. But what do the numbers means in the first number and the number inside the bracket. How do the first number relate to the number inside the brackets?

I think the second bracket is the total number of peers, while the first bracket is how many you are currently connected to.
