I read that article on FILEnetworks today, and you may be right - although ScT didn't shut down when TV-Land, a Pay2Leech site they depended on, was taken down by BREIN.

The reason I think this may be a "hard" joke is because the Scene would really like to see ScT die, something their staff is aware of.

well this makes no sense to me... the site is completely full 20k/20k users... and they routinely average well over $3,000 euros in donations a month... yearly i'd say they pull in around $50,000 euros ...

And this is the "official staff comments". It doesn't get more "official" than that, it's on the front page of the site, where the staff post. It isn't a place to post the latest hot rumors.

Whether the staff are playing a joke, one of the accounts have been hacked, or it is for real is yet to be seen though. No staff have replied to a thread on the forums.

It's been a bad couple of months indeed for BT in general, first UK-T and now it looks increasingly likely ScT...

I'm wondering if, in the current climate and BT in general, being so harshly barracked in the media and with the big ISP's being 'told' to do something about filersharing if they're not just taking a bit of a time out, with a view to coming back quietly when no-one expects it and being even harder to find :)
