Yup that's all you do sell lemonade

it's available at Home of the Underdogs (not sure if i'm allowed to post link)

For anyone too young to remember the Apple II or never sold lemonade in real life, the goal is simple: make as much money as you can within 30 days by selling lemonade. You'll be in charge of every facet of the business, including pricing, quality control, inventory control, and purchasing supplies. You'll also have to deal with the weather, which affects your business (e.g. when it is sunny and hot, people would be willing to pay a higher price for a glass of lemonade).

pong was the first one I played. And it was that First, really old version, where you had to plug that thing into the TV, that had the deck, and the little turn-knobs controllers all in one. It was great...if they were beating you, they were in very close arm's reach, so give them a couple of shoves, and start beating them back. (No...cheaters dont always lose :P)
The atari was my first REAL deck, not sure which game I got for it first (That was 23 years ago...sheesh!) but I remember skipping school and playing Asteroids....A LOT.

Ya know...thinking back on those old times. Thinking about the old graphics on those old machines...if we were still playing on Atari, or Coleco, wouldnt we just cream our jeans if we saw the graphics from say...quake 3?

don't know the games from the msx and atari... but it was probably that tennis with the lines for me too..

on the pc it was probably Leisure suit Larry in the land of the lounge lizzards (still a great game!) and digger... but it was back in the eighties so i´m not really sure

btw someone said Doom the game that started it all, for me it was Wolfenstein3d and Dune2 that made me a game addict. Couldn´t stop playing stayed up for nights in a row back then

these two are classics, imo Wolfenstein3d the 1st person shooter, Dune2 the 1st real time strategy game.. all the others are clones. I don´t say they´re bad but these games started all that.

The first PC game that I ever played, was Leisure Suit Larry, on a friend's machine, that was just loaded up with windows, back when you weren't the average user if you had windows, and a cradle modem. (Goes to show how long ago that was, neh?) I was about 15 at the time, and my jaw dropped when this chick on the screen started flashing. HAHAHA.
I remember this old Jedi game on the atari 2600, was sort of a variant of Pong. Basically your lil guy stood there and you used the paddles to move the saber to block blasts from the training drone, to keep something behind you from getting hit by it.

Spent a lot of nights playing Defender on the atari. Remember how the joysticks on those things would always break? Not as bad as on the 5200 but I had to go buy new ones about every 3-4 months.

Earliest console game: Final Fantasy NES - I learned to read playing this game...

Earliest PC Game: Dr. Sbaitso - not really a game, it's a PC psychiatrist that gave answers to common problems. However we exploited the programing back doors, such as the programmers back door to repeat typed phrases. It was quite amuzing to hear a computerized voice repeating back crass vulgarities, and exponentially large numbers with their correct names.

Edit: It's actually downloadable here (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=330)! :01:

It was a kind of 'Snake-Pacman' but on DOS when I was 4 yo. I could open it alone!

It was something where you had to 'eat' big white dots, and your snake (white line) had to go through a maze without colliding in the walls and eating itself. That's all I can remember from my very young age. Well, one of the only things.

That's when I learned how to go to the floppy drive and execute the game!

I played a few others like Pong.

I don't actually know the name of the game(s) but I had (still have back in england) an old Atari heavy sixer I think, it was a Kevin Keegan special edition with 3 carts, 1 containing a few games including Pong, Basketball and Football all in the style of pong, one with a motorbike game similar to Donkeykong layout and a 2 player racing car game.
It's possible I played the arcade version of Space Invaders before that, I don't remember which was first.

Oh i forgot to mention that the mall was in Philippines where i use to live. This was the late 80s so im guessing it was around 5 pesos. 5 pesos = 10 US cents not counting inflation.

Mine was Pong on

http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=1032&st=3

the shooting games on it never worked though for some reason. and it was white not black.

Then it was Space Invaders and Tanks (i think it was called tanks) on

http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=2&c=878

those were the days, remember I was off school bad, started playing Space Invaders at 9am, was still on it at 9pm and hadnt lost a life, i must have only been about 6. These days games hold my interest for about 10 minutes and I get bored lol
