A friend of mine has Windows 98, and she needs Word for it, but can't find it anywhere. Is there a hash for Microsoft Word 98, Office 98, or another Word version that is compliant with Windows 98. Thanks! :D

I didnt know there was a office 98 :blink: . Try the verifieds, all versions should be compatible with 98, i know office 2000 +Xp are, not sure bout 2003 though!

Yeah, me neither. I just kind of assumed that M$ would want to put out a new Office with every new Windows incarnation.

So, Office 2000 will work with Windows 98, no problems?

yep office 2000 works 200% well on windows 98, i also used office xp on windows 98 in the past with no problems either.

Very cool. Now I just need the verified. I looked in the verified section, but only saw XP, and I'm gonna get 2000. I assume I need a CD-key for it as well...

office Xp is far better than 2000! get Xp but it takes up lots of room on your hdd! you will need a CD key aswell.

Well, she has a super old computer though with very limited space, so Office 2000 is the way to go for her. I can't find the hash for the verified though. :angry:

if you are very limited on space you could try Office 97

ive got copies of both, dont share them as ive got 56k! errm i couldnt find a link looking quickly, but ther must be links out there. ill look again!

Sounds good to me. I've got Cable, but that won't help much with your upload speed.

yep thats your best bet, sum1 in the forum will more than likely have it with a fast connection, but it will be on the net sumwhere aswell!

Yeah I use 2000 but its a 280 plus load with a 680 megs (if I recall) disc,what is she needing to do with it anything special it gets updated for a reason (besides size :angry: ) Ie school work etc cause if not 95 would do only 80 megs without powerpoint.

About all she needs it for is just for a word processor. That's about it. I found an old Microsoft Works disc, so I might use that, but I've always liked Word more.

I know what you mean it seem to have what you want word 95 is even smaller can't seem to find a web down sorry,will keep looking and post or pm if I find see you.

Ok go to this site they is pro about 98 megs and I was getting it at 76 kb/s tops for me,don't know about a key but I think these came in after this verison.
There is two full and ! didn't say, PMed see your box. :rolleyes:
