It is very frustrating to wait over a min for a page to load and makes my experence here a very slow and unjoyable one. Please DO NOT USE long animated gifs. I have seen some that are way over 200 k and with more that 20 of these on the page at the same time the load time for a page goes up way to long

if i may suggest, dl FIREBIRD BROWSER (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firebird/release-notes.html) and simply right click and block the image and/or don't load image. Plus its a fast loading, slim browser.

Turn them off. Then it isn't an issue.

100KB is the maximum for all images combined (according to the rules): Avatar / Signature Size (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=22529)

just to add, about a week ago I sent a PM to one MOD and member about the tremendous amount of cookies (and loading time) I have blocked from avatars, sigs & posted pix. One suggested to get firebird, and ever since i installed it, I haven't had the need to block ONE yet.

I wanted to get into file-sharing for a few years, I waited until I got broadband so as not slow others down. I turned off images in in forums so that I wouldn't have to ask this sort of thing. If someone can't keep up then it's their fault and they shouldn't moan. Apologies to anyone who can't get broadband/cable/whatever, but this is my opinion. http://smilieworx.com/smilies/scif32D.gif

If they can't "keep up" it's not their fault. Sometimes high-speed connections aren't available. Sometimes people can't afford it.

Its also not our fault for having a decent connection or the oppounity.Imo its like blaming someone for being rich or winnig the lottery. You have what u have and have to put up with it.I think its quite cheek tring to hold someone back for what they have and pay for.No i'm no anti 56k.If i have anything u need i'd be happy to give u 7 k/b :D
