Loads of different people have loads of different areas of expertise in many different topics/subjects from my experience of trackers... whether it be in programming, coding, different OS's, hardware, software, Bit Torrent, mIRC... the list could go on and on...

The important part imo is just to be honest about things if you don't understand something. There's nothing worse than trying to follow a topic that someone is chatting about when you have no idea what they mean... and it's not always the other persons fault as they might assume you're following them.

The only stupid question is the one that's never asked... although from reading some posts on FST there are apparently exceptions to this rule :lol:

Generally if I'm stuck on something I'll either check out the Support Forums, or go to the Tutorials Section, or even just plain Google and if all else fails then I'll just ask for help.

There's no need to feel intimidated or anything else by what you may feel is an apparent lack of knowledge, the 'experts' didn't become experts overnight :)

Here's something that I have suspected my whole life, OlegL. That is, excluding real mental handicaps, what makes a difference between someone being "smart" and, well, otherwise...is what people around them keep saying.

I have had parts of my life where the only thing I had (quite literally) was my intelligence. I think I would have given up on a lot if people hadn't always told me that I was "smart". Believing that, helped me persevere. I am not sure how things would have unfolded for me if I did not have that to believe in.

You might notice similar things being said about others. That guy, he's funny. Or she, knows a lot about hair and make-up. W/E, right? Well, the stories others tell do shape how we see ourselves. When we are making decisions, we feel more confident when they fit in our "area of expertise"- the things people say about us. However, we can shape how people see us, by reinforcing their beliefs. It is very cyclical.

Find something you enjoy and pursue it as far as you can go. Read about (whatever it is) and really become knowledgeable. People really like others who know "stuff". They also like to be able to share what they know. After you learn a bit, find other who are interested in the same "stuff" as you. It won't take too long before you are the guy who knows about (stuff). :)

A lot of HDBits staff and members act like children. That's a known fact by most in the bt community. So I wouldn't take seriously anything that anyone at that tracker says either. As for Bit-HDTV, that kind of surprises me. But then again, there are assholes at every tracker.

Again, why you would actually care what some stranger behind a computer screen thinks or says about you is beyond me. Do you get all suicidal when people in real life call you names? You need to get some self-esteem, OlegL. Or at the very least thicker skin. You need to learn how to let things just roll off your back. What do I do? Well, I already explained it in another thread (and it's possible that thread was deleted), but I am struggling now to complete the college work for the fall semester that ended quite a long time ago. I have a bunch of INC (incomplete) grades, but lack motivation to do the work I need to do. Now I think about women that I am unable to get.

Since we've already ruled out intelligent and trustworthy then I'm going to go with able to type in the url correctly ,even inadvertantly , on a keyboard.
My first thought was alive or human but I suppose you could manipulate a deceased gerbil's paw and sign up Mr Whisker's to a tracker if you really wanted to.
