I also wanted to do that.. but don't know how to do that.. I have a cablenet connection here. So if i wanna transfer files frm my laptop to my PC , i zip those files and send it to my friend sharing the modem with me.. thru yahoo or msn messenger... Then I log on to yahoo/msn on my PC and ask him to send the files bk to me... All this process just requires abt 5-10 mins.. whtever be the size of the file.

Connect them with a crossover Cat5 network cable.

or if u have cable internet and want to share it, use a router. but if its solely for transferring files, a cat5 crossover as virtualbody said will do fine

there are a few choices, actually.

if you need to connect both of them to the internet, you could use an ethernet router.

or you could link them directly by ethernet crossover or by firewire. then you could use Windows' built-in Internet Connection Sharing, if required.

i used to have those coaxil cables that go in the old network cards. and u can hook up like 50 computers
