I thought this would be a nice thread to start. what type of speakers do you have to watch movies and listen music from eg, home cinema or hifi

Hafler M5's on a Hafler TA1600 amplifier.
(actually they're studio-reference speakers, they have a very "straight" sound.

And for Surround Syrincs M3-220, incl. Subwoofer.

They are "leftovers" from my studio, you wouldn't believe the sound i get........

cambridge audio a5 amp with eltax silverstone 200 speakers.

dont have any surround sound setup i still think it is a bit overkill.

i put it through my panasonic SC-ht80 it may be old but it gives 350w rms and some mad bass

I'm using a subwoffer & speaker system i bought for my ps2. I got rid of the ps2 but the sound sytem is quite clear and 300w,so i kept it and hooked it up here. :D

i've got video logic zxr-500 speaker ( i think, not sure on the lettering, may be the other way round) they're nice and clear sound, fairly cheap, and loud enough. the walls in my house a paper thin, so it would be pointless me having anything more powerfull as everone would complain. :D

as it is i run my speakers on 15 to 20% volume most of the time anyway

Yup I feel your pain (or to be honest I don´t really care much, atleast not for pc use or movie watching). :lol:
