Unbelievable news in the press abou a group of people selling pirates actually on the strrets of london for a Fiver.
Pictures of the pirates are in the press as well,but what i cannot understand is that Officials are saying Gangs behind fake DVD sales are often involved in terrorism and drug dealing.WTF

Yeh I copy movies and give some at work and my mates,and no way am I a Terrorist or do drugs that is complete bullshit just to stop people buying Pirate copies of movies.

basically, the press like to be sensationalist over stuff like this.


In a tabloid i was reading in the gym yesterrday the headline read: "Porn Teacher Arrested" ~ Reading the story, this guy had child porn on his pc; however the headline was very misleading...it made it out that porn is illegal.

in this case, they are trying to get a "groundbreaking" discovery by finding the head of internationally organised crime...when in fact they discovered some guy using BT or KL and a CD burner ~ not as interesting a story.

And i think that to sell the dvds on the street is plain wrong...it is one thing to dl a movie, but to actively make money from it is just plain silly ~ you are guarenteed¹ to be caught

Let me tell u somthing im from london and basically people want money!!!!! people want it now and they dont want 2 pay Tax :o :o ......

if u earn 300pounds a week u pay 80 2 85pounds it tax and national insurance. so people want 2 make extra. u no wat u can go 2 any market and buy all da latest so called DVD quality films 4 5pounds, but they r only TMD or equivalent copyies burnt on 2 a DVD. ENGLAND is a very exspencive country. DVDs cost 15 2 20pounds and CDs cost from 10pounds upwards. so people want it cheap so it is supply and demand, and there is a demand 4 pirate stuff. so people get it cheap the seller pays no Tax and da only people that lose and the artists/ movie makers etc.........

I&#39;m not from england,"wales".But down here nearly everyone with a pc sells them.Its even worse if theres a saturday market of sunday bootsale...,< i think the equivalent of a US garage sale.I dont "honest"..never have.I only d/l movies i fancy watching or for the kids in the family.A mate sells mostly telesync,for 4 quid each..the quality is shit and ppl still come back. :D

btw in the city centre where i live there was some guys selling DVDs like S>W>A>T and T3 for a tenner&#33;

SWAT is obviously not dvd quality cuz there is no dvd screener or rip

I actually get a young oriental guy come into the garage I work every friday with shitloads of DVDs and porn (what he calls ticcy ticcy). I&#39;ve bought a couple of DVD9&#39;s of him (inculding Finding Nemo) and they have everything on them, menus, extras the lot. But thinking about it he probaly gets them from gangland connections ,how else would you get these imported into the country?

I feel pretty shitty now. :(

Come on Guys do you honestly think some Triad gangs are behind The good quality pirates.

It&#39;s Obvious that someone inside the industry is acctually leaking all the material to foreign countries to be made into DVDs and VCDs.Someone inside is deffinately making a hell of a lot of money by doing this.

i didn&#39;t say i believed that stuff about organized crime, but that article does give a pretty interesting perspective on the latest wave of piracy.

although i don&#39;t think it&#39;s all that far-fetched to consider that wherever there&#39;s money to be made in many third world countries, organized criminals are involved at some level.

Yes it is true in a way.
Like in India some underworld bosses tried to launder their money through the Movie Industry.When they were refused by some Producers they did become nasty and threatened to kill people.

nfo files are info files. They are small textfiles which you can open with notepad or a nfo file viewer.

They are just included if you download a file that was released from a group and contain some info about the release. Like quality or for games serial numbers
