it might but your graphics card is way to lord you should at least upgrade to a G-Force Fx 5200 128 meg but it might work i'm not sure. i gotta 1.66 amd athalon with 512 ram and 128 vid card it still went all laggy and slow but when i turned all the functions off it went kinda better but still laggy :(

PS: do you have a avalible AGP Slot?

the only thing I see a major problem is with your video card, I got a POS 64meg on-board card and it runs like ass unless I turn off everything
I say get the demo off the site and if you can live with it, get the full download, if not its not a big loss just save up and get a better card

I Don't Want To Open My Case.....I'll Just Ask The Shop I Bought It From.....Anyway Can You Recommend Some Games That Would Run Good On This Set Up?

i just got halo on pc the other day. and im dissapointed, all these idiots comparing it to HL2 and DOOM III graphics, even on the highest resolution it looks nothing like either of those games, and it also doesnt even run that good, i think its engine must be crap or something.

Well your set is not that bad, the diffrence between a AGP card and a onboard is something that I do not know alot about, but when I was running at 256 ram and a 32 MB ati rage card I could play up to GTA 3, with a litle bit of graphical lag on medium settings.

Games of the command and conquer sort should run ok. (I would imagine even the newer ones although I have not played them, they just seem a little less graphicaly hungry to todays FPS's

Hard to say really, I would say that most games over a year old should run semi smoothly on your set up.

yea, a gfx 5200 will work. i have one, and i play at like 1500* watever number resolution, but with everything on low, and now lag at all. i play all my games at that resolution

An onboard graphics card is one which comes integrated with the motherboard when you buy it, and is usually pretty cheap. And AGP cards obviously go into the AGP slot. One last thing, stupidguy, agp slots come standard (to my knowledge) with motherboards these days, and yours should be relatively new, so if i had to bet, i'd safely say that yours would support agp...

Will Halo Run On My Pc?
Nope :'(

Meh It Can't Be That Great I'm Getting An X-Box Anyway :)

it's a crap game, on pc at least. I don't see why there was such a hype when it was released. Maybe the multiplayer could interest you but I thought the campaign mode was nothing special. But hey, what beats CS in multiplayer anyway. ;)

No loss if you don't get to play it, No brains if you buy a xbox just to play it.

Link, I know the diffrence between AGP and Itegrated, what I mean was that I do not know the diffrence in performance when compared to cards of the same MB, Incase this was directed at me.

Get Return to Castle Wolfensteain: Enemy Territory from www.splashdamage.com
Its a good game, and completely free (the legal free now the "Kazaa Free").

It runs on me 1.4 GHZ that has like a 32mb graphics card so it should run on yours.

I have Athlon 2000 (1.66 GHZ)
256 MG DDR
Nvidia GeForce 3 Titanium
Halo runs reasonably well on my set up, with all textures etc. set to max, except during heavy combat scenarios. I'm only on the second section where you have to rescue other rescue pod survivors & evac.
However.....what I don't like is the sluggishness/control of the two vehicles I've tried. The warthog (Real game & demo) & small purple space craft,(multiplayer demo) steer like pigs.... so the warthog at least is aptly named!!!
Dunno yet if I'd recommend buying it, I'll give it a few more hours of play time first.

Will Halo run good on

AMD Athlon XP 2500+
1024mb ram
Radeon 9600pro 128mb?

I probably won't play Halo anyways but just making sure it will run with no lag
