Most of you know about the download site supernova

Be vary careful!

yesterday my friend
recived a letter from Universal
telling him to delete the copy of hulk he downloaded.

The letter gave a discription of all the following activities

TIME DOWNLOAD STARTED
TIME FINISHED DOWNLOADING
WHAT SITE
THE SIZE
TITLE OF THE MOVIE

He had the XP firewall running
they still found him (no suprise XP firewall is rubbish any way)

TRED CAREFULLY!

i think that its usually pretty safe to use a site like suprnova, but it is essential to run some kind of protection...the pg database may provide some much needed assistance with this

TIPS: tell ur friend that M$ firewall is not for the P2P purpose, more for browsing. Get Proton for chained SOCKS4/5. Also tell him to start researching, learning, and implimenting some privacy security steps on his pc. Who's his ISP? ur friend is not a customer of ur Universal. last, exposing ur self, like ur friend, can occur under any P2P program.

I know a person an another Warez forum who got a letter from some hackers who claimed that they had traced his download of The Hulk. They included everything that Fiber told us about, eg. what time he downloaded it, what the filename was etc. He said that the letter was supposedly from his IP provider, but in actual fact, it was from hackers. They claimed to be his IP provider and told him to include his credit card number for their records.

The moral of that above post is to be weary of what you recieve.

Fiber, get your friend to check that letter, because there seens to be a bit of repetition going on.

I dont know why newbs think having a firewall will protect you from RIAA or the MPAA, you do know that when computers comunicate with each other they need each others ip or at least the proxy you are using(which i dont know if you can use with bittorent maybe with a third party program like proxycap), the best you can do is use a firewall like kerio and convert the peer gurdian p2p enemy ip address list using http://www.bluetack.co.uk to make a block rules file for your particular firewall.

People, it&#39;s beginning to become common knowledge now that SuprNova&#39;s being monitored.

I&#39;ve seen at least 2 other similar topics here about people recieving warnings. This is one example (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=76252) and a lot more on other forums.
All people who got the offending file through SuprNova.

Lies? No I don&#39;t think so. Monitoring Bittorrent is extremely easy and you even get the IP easily. They only need to start a download themselves and the client will tell everything they need to know.

Coincidence? Maybe, but I&#39;m not taking chances anymore. I&#39;m staying clear of the popular releases on SuprNova.

Agreed, there are safer places to get high pro fl. Though keep in mind these are generally just warning letters generated from MPAA companies, mostly seeming to be Universal, they have have not done anything beyond this, NO actual law suits as of yet. At worst currently you may get a 3 warnings and your ISP cancels you...
