This might seem stupid bu I just wondered,

I havent turned off my pc for 7 weeks, except for forced reboot, and its been d/l ing and u/l ing 24/7. This is not my server listed in my sig. Its a p4 2.4, 1GB ram.

Is this dangerous to the components or nothing to think about?

Thanks

Computers are desgined to be running 24/7 .. it shouldn't effect it too much.

Wrong! IDE (ATA) hard drives were not designed to be running 24/7 only SCSI hard drives are specifically designed to do this. SCSI hard drives have better spindle motors and other technologies integrated that allows them to be so durable.

The CPU, memory or PCBs will not be affected by leaving the power on 24/7, only those parts that constantly move (like hard drives) will considerably degrade after time, especially IDE hard drives. There is a much higher chance that your hard drive is going to fail or crash if you leave it running 24/7.
