Hello:
to the admin and leaders of this board I thank you all for allowing me to be here. I am a very new member but I wanna be able to post and participate as other members do.
This post will be in regards of something which probably has never been talked about. It is regarding accessibility. For example, for people who are blind and wishes to post in lets say the music nzb no problems getting the post up but the problem comes when you must select a sub-category. for people using a screen reading software the buttons for the sub-categories aren't clickable. I was wonderring if something could please be done such as making the picking of the category and sub-catagory like a combo box instead?
if a consideration and accomedation could please be made, it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Hello:
wel 2 of them are jaws and window eyes and basicly what they do is read the screen for you. when uploading music and you have to click on the sub-category the sub-category is a graphic so this program because the way the graphic is made it does not allow the user to click on it. just wonderring if instead of having to click on the category follow by the sub-category without asking to much could a set of combo boxes be implemented?

I thank you for a least looking in to this the 2 url's of where you can read of this programs are:

www.gwmicro.com
that's for window eyes
and
www.freedomscientific.com
for jaws
thanks again.

They already have alt text.
I think the next idea would be to add the text right next to the images, then hdie it using CSS. I'm assuming that the screen reader will ignore the CSS and read the text as if it wasn't hidden.
But first I will have to install the software and do some tests to make sure that will work. I will do it when I have a chance, probably next weekend.

I didn't know we have blind members on this site. :O

hello all:
I thank all for any accommedations which could be made.
Yuh I specially enjoy sharing and found this problem only while posting nzb's everything else on the board is ok. any suggestions and or ideas that I can have in regards to how I can post they would be greatly appreciated.
again i can click with the mouse cursor on the category and the problem only happens when trying to click on the sub-category so if the categories and sub-catagories can be alike this might also help.
thanks

You're getting "blind" and "mentally retarded" mixed up again.

It's very random. The threads very frequently go way off topic, plenty of spamming and trolling... with the occasional bit of sense spoken in amongst all the rest of the 'rubbish'

It can also be very educational though once you learn to weed out the nonsense :)
