For those that have wondered what was going on...The site will not be back. Due to personal, technical, and other unforeseen circumstances the site put on some cement shoes and is now swimming with the fishes.

Thanks to all that have helped it in the past and present!

For those that are not rejoicing, remember that this is simply one aspect of the Internet and fortunately for all of us there are other sites to go around...

From personal experience I would highly recommend iTS, PtN, and goem to fill your movie tracker void. Yes, there are others, but these are ones I am a member of and hope to see you there!

Eh it's a pity. Despite disagreements over how the site was run I always thought it was a nice place, contrary to what many on the outside believed. I met plenty of nice people there and had several of them do me some pretty big favours over the last year and a half.

PTP and TC are good. Can't comment on PTN as I'm not a member, but I'm sure others will be able to help.

Never liked the way it introduced itself. Too much bling bling and hype, too many cute and smart words, l33t,secret and too many stars ** :snooty::snooty:
Often you see trackers start out like they are here to rule the world, soon after they vanish into thin air. Honestly i would have liked it to have lasted longer strengthen its position and become its claims but unfortunately it didn't.

Inddiferrent though as i may be about the tracker's demise, this is just my opinion, my point of view and i know many users out there really liked the tracker and used it a lot, so to all of you i wish you find a good substitute for your needs.:console:

In addition i would also like to thank you Bum for your help in looking around all the time to find good members for the tracker.

There was a lot of talk about the tracker here, about being l33t and all. I wont approve or disprove any of it.
But at the end, it was a very nice place. There were some very nice features. It had pretty cool browse page, thats the best feature I liked. Anyway, nothing lasts forever. Even some mighty ones have died in the past. Guess time to move on. I still have like a 100 torrents in utorrent sitting looking all red. Replacement time.

The amount of "bad users" was pretty high over at CN as I remember it (haven't kept track of the development lately). I hope if users from CN decide to move over to iTS through this invite req-system that the bad will be filtered. iTS is probably one of few trackers that still has a good and trustworthy user base. At least that's the impression I get. But of course there are always some "bad" ones in every tracker.

But the situation with UK-T was not really the same as with CN. Most users there were in fact only members at UK-T. They had nowhere to go (sounds pretty lame I know). "Old-schooler" or what you would call them. It's not like you can expect them to find their way to other trackers just like that.

Man, its sad to see this site go. Had a blast at that place. Uploaded a few good movies over there, had a blast learning to encode/encoding movies over there. It was pretty fun to shoot the shit with the staff/uploaders/encoders/everybody else in IRC and see what it was becoming. I thought the site was moving into the right track and would be the last one out of the big 3 movie trackers to go down. Well, all good things must come to an end, I guess.

/Waves to nikola1970 (who invited me to CN in the first place), t00z (who helped me out when I first started encoding, and long afterward :P ) and all the other great peeps I shot the shit with in IRC. Hope to chat with you guys in some other site's IRC chan, and make things entertaining

On-topic: Well, CN was always a nice/homely/calm place. It had its down sides such as stringent rules on off-site discussions about the site, but at the end of the day, when I brought up the browse page, it mostly had that obscure 90's movie I didn't want to download the HD rip of. Cluttered and disordered, sure, but the staff only added that stuff because they thought it would increase the activity of something they, as well as many people, loved.

So, at the end of the day, cheers to Killer/Supervisor/TheDog/Bumrocks (even though you joined the team only recently, as far as I know). Thanks for all the fishes.
