I searched the web. Can not find a conclusion.
Quotes
-Polar bears do not eat snow.
-Eating snow gives you worms
- It is full of bacteria (intergalactic)
- It makes you colder.
- Munch & melt it mouth then spit it out.
-not if yellow or other than white
-fresh snow is the most lethal (pollution)

My kid is in a fad right now and loves to chew it.

Please provide undeniable proof.
(must argue with self + wife)

I am surrounded by it presently.

Thanks in advance

-Eating snow gives you worms

not always, but a possibility

- It is full of bacteria (intergalactic)

Not all the bacteria is bad. Not the all bad bacteria is strong enough beat our immune system. There is almost no food on this planet that doesn't have any bacteria in it

- It makes you colder.

"duh."
Instructors at a winter camp told me do not eat snow as water source as it wastes too much energy. But its not really deadly cold.

- Munch & melt it mouth then spit it out.

I might lower the risk, but definitely not %100 safe

-not if yellow or other than white

color created by existance bacteria/viruses is way too faint to be visible. Yellow usually because of the dust and earth.

-fresh snow is the most lethal (pollution)

Freshness of snow have nothing to do with it. If its polluted, it won't clean itself in time.

Please provide undeniable proof.

Sorry no such proof exist, as the risk depends on alot of variables.
If your kid really want to eat, eating snow of the roof is usually safer. Also ice cubes in blender also makes a nice snow.

I ate alot of snow as kid, i still eat it sometimes. There are actually (http://www.squidoo.com/snowicecream) desserts you can (http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/snow-ice-cream-ii/Detail.aspx)make (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1Ar-Zbn9TI) from (http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/snow-ice-cream-i/Detail.aspx) it. (http://curbly.com/modhomeecteacher/posts/8010-how-to-make-easy-snow-ice-cream) Its not really deadly, and if you kid is small it might even be good for his immune system

I ate snow every winter as a kid. Whether that's an argument for or against is up to you.

If the snow is fresh, why not eat it?
