That is, IF they have the backups current. We've seen this before, just not with so many major sites all at once.

Yes I could have, but you have to play to the level of the audience or it is a wasted effort. :P

Actually, had others joined in instead of shooting it down immediately, (you know who you are :dry: ) it could have been better. Instead, within 5 minutes, some d-bag has to jump in and spoil any chance of the thread catching.

Thanks to those who did play along- imagine if no one spoiled it, and there was 4 pages of people reporting that they, too, had heard the same thing. That's what I was hoping for. You know, FUN... :ermm:

Problem was that there were a number of april fools threads existing already in the invite section, a sufficient number of users were "playing along" by actually being genuinely stupid, and things were getting old fast.

I stand by my pseudo philosophical statement btw. We are being fooled every day without even knowing.

Let's make a list of all the trackers that we don't like or don't belong to and together as one wish bad things upon them and then odds are that it will happen.
On second thought that's been tried with the Yankees and it didn't work.
Unless you count A-Rod having to put up with that reptile Cameron Diaz .
