built in corruption handling, you can't get a corrupted file unless the file has it to Begin with, very very very rare
also almost 0 chance of a virus

I haven't gotten any corrupted files, Suprnova is probably the most-watched site by the MPAA and the like though, so be careful what you download from there.

its not the copy you got, you got a bad codec or its con-flickting with another codec
try it in videolan

codec packs are not 100%

you really should get codecs as you need them, not all at once, but thats not n00b friendly
so thats why we have codec packs

conflicts happen all the time ESP when you have too many packs are 2 of the same codec, so I say again, try it in videolan and then you can have your crow served any way you want it

really, by the way in which BT works, there is very little chance of a virus/bad file, because if a file were bad, then people would stop sharing it thus thered be no sources, hence it would die pretty quickly.

i think most people will have AV of some description, and hence would know, as people who use BT are more likely to not be PC n00bs.

IMHO of course ;)

Well, I only have ONE codec pack installed. K-Lite Codec Pack basic. It has only the codec I need. I think the problem may have been due to BSplayer though. The new BSplayer 1.00 it ALOT better.

glad you got it and I knew it wasn't the file you downloaded, it common to think that so I see why you were quick to blame the download

unless the original seeder is evil and corrupted his files, they can't be. cuz the torrent file checks each piece of the dl as it dls. so there can't be any way the file will get corrupted during the transfer, unlike kazaa
