Me and some other friebnds were having a heated discussion about which was better the friend who reffered the N64 was using graphics and technological superiority in its defence but don't the games and gameplay make playstation better :blink:

64 had better graphics but not that many hard-core games and PS1 had more games I say 64 tho as for a person who has both.

n64 easyly. playstation just had about a million games and they were all shit. n64 had sum v. gd games(goldeneye, perfect dark, conkers bad fur day) where as playsation just had millions of shit games. ooooooooooooo yes i must buy the next dance matt game!!! yeah woteva.

ninetendo was so stupid in wrestlemanio 2000 the guys were made of boxes, they had boxe hand, box muscle etc ps1 had those kind of graphiccs in 1996 when final fantasy 7 wwas made lol so 4 years of leading in graphics

Well can you really compare two totally different games. Sure N64 had games with shitty graphics like Mission impossible or superman (lol). But it also had Zelda, Mario, Perfect dark, pilotwings, wave race etc

The N64 wins by a long shot, it came about long before its time.
The engines used in it are so advanced that its very difficult to create games, but
some if the most ledgendary titles were produced for it.

There&#39;s one thing that made me choose the Sony PlayStation, I don&#39;t think anyone mentioned it yet. It is the widely avaliable copied/burn&#39;t/pirated games for those who have a Mod-Chip. I know that a huge number of PlayStation owners probably never payed for a game in there life&#33;

It really is a matter of personal preference. PS1&#39;s graphics has a more realistic, crisp look to them, but it couldn&#39;t push as many polygons as N64. However, most of the games made by Nintendo and their in house developer, RARE, were just plain fun. But a lot of people prefer realism like Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil over fantasy like Mario and Zelda. Personally I prefer the latter. I still have my N64 and nearly thirty games, while I just traded in my PS1 and all five games I had for an Xbox. :D

Well, I never said everyone didn&#39;t have purely illegal discs. But I&#39;m sure you all got the point I was trying to make, which basically is that I prefer the Sony PlyStation console as you can get the games cheaper, even if they are illegal.

Playstation 1 because it really had some of the greatest games i had ever seen ( tekken , metal gear solid , final fantasy gran turismo , and man many others). I really didnt get into much of the games on it, IMO&#33; , but i liked some of the action games on n64 such as golden eye.

I know one tried and true method for finding out which console was better, find out which one had better sales :D

Honestly for myself though, the only thing I can think of that kept Nintendo from going the way of Sega were the Zelda games. Thats the only time I was ever happy to own an N64.

I liked the PS1 better.
N64 had some good games and I still play them but it only had about 10 good games&#33;&#33;&#33;
PS1 could easily match that and then some. I usually can gauge which system is better by looking at games made for BOTH systems but that didn&#39;t really happen in this case.

PS1 had a ton of good games.

That&#39;s not a valid method for determining quality. It&#39;s like saying only movies that earn over 200 million dollars are eligible to win an oscar, and that&#39;s just not the case (thankfully).
