You can test a video card with benchmarks.

But once you install new memory and it shows up on your registry as being there. Is there any way to test that it is functioning properly and smoothly.

I upgraded my video card and memory recently and I suffered some crashes. I am trying to trouble shoot the source.

I have removed the new memory, but the problems and very intermittent and I am too inpatient to run my system for a week with out the new memory in it.

PC Mark 2002 (http://www.futuremark.com/products/pcmark2002/) will handle it.

Yes, the free version will do it.

I am simply partial to this app since if you use it I can compare your scores to mine.

Selfish, really.
