firstly, i've got to say i was really disappointed with this game

not that i could have expected otherwise, of course

it's basically fast and the furious in a game, which is ok for loads of silly little kids who don't have any worries about car handling or realistic performance, they just want to see shiny cars and flaming exhausts

the camera effects are pretty good (in drag mode, when you go quickly, e.g. 150 or so mph, the camera shakes), but apart from that, this game is shockingly bad

no doubt it'll be a huge commercial success though...

anyone else got any thoughts?

3rd Gen Calm down if u made a game I think it would be boring I know u like the real thing and how it handles but it's supposed to be a fun game like u said for kids to play to they don't know about that type of stuff, but I haven't played it yet I have a couple of hours left on my download.

I totally agree with you. I autocross in real life and I appreciate real driving games such as F1C (and with the ETCC mod). This game is made for the user who wants the street racing &#39;rush&#39; without the real skills of racing, which is fine. I know this game will sell like hot cakes but it isn&#39;t for the minority of people who appreciate a real racing game. &#39;Real racing game&#39; as in something that is realistic. NFSU is anything but that.

I just restarted the download and it&#39;s getting better, lol, I was going at 0kb/sec - 1kb/sec for the past 3hrs and now just restarted at leats I get 2-3&#39;s now :lol: <_< :(

PTC Client is pretty unstable IMO, it takes up to much system resources and kinda slows down ur entire comp while allocating and checking existing data ;) . I think it&#39;s back to shad0w experimental for me. Not to mention even if I capped it at 1kb/sec it uploads at 3-4.

And my download can&#39;t exceed 1kb&#33;&#33;

this game owns all other racing games i have ever played, and especially MC 2. this cars are very customizeable and Drag racing its pretty unique in the good way. The Dave...shut the up, if u haven&#39;t played it dont critisize it. the Tracks are pretty similiar but i still have yet to get bored.

why don&#39;t you scare yourself shitless, click on the advanced option and look through the list 5 ppl downloading at 650kb/sec and uploading at 4-5kb/sec.

don&#39;t u hear my upload speed is 64k only 10k above 56k, at 56k you upload and download AT 56k, so you can upload higher than me at some points, SIF you tell me you put the meter at 5-6kb/sec max, I bet you won&#39;t be able to download much because of too much choking.

sometimes when you share, you have to strategise, look through the boards i&#39;m not gonna mention names someone completed downloading the game under 4hrs and uploading at 0.1kb/sec using PTC. So get a life, just because you don&#39;t have adsl.

yes it will but as you can see there are ppl who can cap their uploads to meet thier download needs on the new bt client rather than the old one where you can only upload and download in an very uncontrolled way....

you can cap your download and upload speeds with any bittorent or even any client that envoles downloading and uploading, i ussualy cap my download speeds when im playing online games, i use a program called net limiter.
