Need For Speed: Underground Online?

I have nfs underground and its working fine...but i wanna play online...i tried to play online but it said i need to download a patch and when i did...i couldnt play nfs anymore...is there a way i can play nfs online?? i got my cd key from the cd key generator that came with it..thx

i don't think yo need a valid cd key to play online. Just make sure you crack t he newly patch NFSU you should be able to play online. I heard of some guys who alredi are playing online with the deivance ISOs

how come everytime i click on &#39;play online&#39; my nfsu client will stop responding... :(

I guess even the patch is not helping, maybe the patch just allows a no cd copy of the game to play online and you still in fact need a valid cd key.

so far there are this issues...

1) You may not be able to play online because you did not install the patch. You can do so here http://www.eagames.com/official/nfs/underground/us/patch.jsp. Simply click yes when a dialogue appears (microsoft crap but it&#39;s necessary) then click on the check for patch button, it will say patch is found, now click to download it. You won&#39;t be able to see the progress of the download, but it&#39;s 5 miB and when it&#39;s done installing it will automitically &#39;patch installed.

2) Now use the patch I listed above, install the update, then copy the crack speed.exe over to the installdir.

3) If you are lucky, you should be upgrade to v 1.2.5xxx not sure about the numbers. Now, when you click on Play Online, this may happen.

A) You lucky bastard, you will not freeze and thus be able to play online, I can not tell you what happens next because I never got pass that screen unfortunately.

B) NFSU freezes and you have to ctrl-alt-del. Good news is this is not an issue with your fake CD key or anything, now the highly likely possibility is that there is an issue with your connection, a firewall may be blocking it. By doing the appropraite settings you may then be able to play online. But there are many issues where most pre-installed microsoft built in firewalls and custom firewalls have been closed yet it still does not work.

Rumours that by installing the old version 4.0 of zone alarm and allowing NFSU to run, you can solve the freezing problem. THe problem of freezing is mainly subjecte dto your connection to the internet.

OK i was stuffing around and when i click "play online" with the network cord unplugged it doesnt freeze but it sais that "no internet connection blah blah" so im guessing its got something to do with either my adsl modem or the NIC.

Please help.

it does sound like your firewall or something is blocking it neat - i just got this working online yesterday

first time i tried to connect, it quit back to desktop to show a warning from norton f/w, i allowed it all access and then it said the patch was needed to go online so it automatically downloaded the patch, maybe the same thing is happening to you only you&#39;re not getting the warning message

the crack that came with cd1 didnt work at all for me, before or after the patch. the keygen did work tho&#39;

after you eventually are able to connect, you need to set up an ea &#39;account&#39; with a user-name, email address bla bla

so if you have checked your firewall (xp f/w too) and it still isnt working let me know and i&#39;ll send you the crack / key etc that i have

yeah man ive disabled the firewall and everything but i know their is something going on with my adsl or nic because when i uplug the cord it doesnt freese up it just gives me an error about no internet connection.

I downloaded the update and a cd patch for it but still nothing.

Mybe with the crack you have it might work :) (need a little praying emicon lol)

you should know if you have installed one but if you dont, have a look through your program list or your "add or remove programs" list for a firewall, or open boot c>program files and &#39;search&#39; for &#39;firewall&#39;

if you use xp it has a built in f/w, you can check if its on by going to &#39;control panel&#39;>&#39;network connections&#39;>double click your connection type>hit the &#39;properties&#39; tab>hit the &#39;advanced&#39; tab, although mine does work with xp f/w on

i wish i played it on pc, but i have the same car on gamecube, ecept blue with blue neons, pretty tight though
