Due to a post being made in the Lounge, it brought up a point i would like to ask about here. Is it possible for each member to view more detailed statistics of each forum he/she posts in? At the moment, all you see is the totall + the one you are most active in.

Peace

If it was up to me then I would enable a lot of features but the problems is the size / heavy traffic of this board.

More details = more queries = more lag. Some sites even have to disable the search feature to handle 100 users :)

We are running a dedicated Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz with 1.5 GB RAM / optimal settings but boards like IB are simply not made for "masses" so there will always be a problem.

I will contact VBulletin and ask if it is ok to buy a VB board which can handle more. If it is ok with them I will also ask them to code a converter to keep all current posts.

Now that would be something ;)
I understand the limitations though. Many thx.

ooo, I like IPB.

So with this converter or so, will we all need to re register? what about post counts? and all the other stuff ;)

IPB is not bad but the code is not really opt. for huge boards. If there is a chance (and that's not decided yet) then nothing will be lost.

But again it is just an idea

Cool, keep the ideas comming ;)
The main reason why I like IPB so much, is when you post you havent got to clcik "clcik here to go back to see your reply" and with some bords you got to do that.

don't worry - I say that cause I think that ;) and it is important ;)
don't worry about your feelings - if you are angry - express it!!!

but don't destroy your pc ;) otherwise I would miss an opened member of
this board.

thanks for sharing ;)

if it was the heavy traffic would it not be able to disable guests viewing the board or would this not help? i only ask because some days we seem to have more guests viewing the board the there are members on it
