View Full Version : Should We Know?

bigboab

Do the members of this Forum think that everyone should know the sex of every other member of the Forum. I know for a fact that I have been 'caught out' a couple of times by making a mistake. Would it not be a good idea to display the sex of the member somewhere (under the Avator?) where everyone can see it?

i don't think it should be shown due to sexual stereotyping

all those women always presume that everyone who's stupid is a guy... :-"

p.s. i've been 'caught out' a few times myself too

Your username would probably have me think you were male(don't know why), but your avatar would have given me second thoughts.

no actually it was hobbes

you see, one day a long while back i was wondering if hobbes was a guy or a girl. but as i read his posts, i didn't see any obvious clues like "i like to eat p*ssy" or "i'm on the rag" or whatever. most of the time it's hard to tell. just out of bad luck, i couldn't find any posts wherein i could tell if hobbes was a guy or a girl. not only that someone refered to him(i forgot who, cuz it's been a while) as "meekness incarnate". so i wrongly concluded hobbes was a girl. it was a simple mistake, and that's why i posted in this thread, it's an interesting topic. i would not intentionally mistake a guy member for a girl, just to make a joke. it's not funny at all, it's offensive. sometimes it happens naturally though, because our personalities don't always translate correctly over the internet.

I think ther is no need for gender distinction. If my avatar or signature don't spell it out for you, just ask - privately if you prefer. Being old and limited... I'm more interested in your opinions rather than your appendages.

Having said that I must admit to "swooning" a little when certain gender biased avatars post in a thread. The Aussie angels, Skweeky, lilmiss and my all time favourite; Curley.

Cheers omc
