Hey abu download this program and it lets you run doom 3 alpha if you have an nvidia card.

Everyone sais that you need old crappy drivers to play it but you dont.

BTW abu, i remember on some site they were saying that you have to modify something in the config if you have an ATI card.

I cant remember what it was.

Also, try deleting the config file so it regenerates one for you.

Ill be really suprised if the final version is going to look better than the Alpha because its just so awsome with the bump mapping and the cool lighting. :)

Hey guys, i uploaded an AVi of me playing doom 3 Alpha with fraps.

The quality isnt very good but i wanted to keep it small for the 56k users and plus tripod have a filesize limit and i had to zip it just to cut that few extra kb out.

Its pretty cool. Runs a bit crap but thats just how my pc plays it.

I dont know guys, maybe its just a bug in the Alpha or i didnt have enough bullets but once i wasted everysingle bullet shooting one of the mofo&#39;s and they keep getting up.

Not sure if they can die in the Alpha :unsure:

But its still fun playing it :)

for a gf4? 8fps isn&#39;t bad. my old gfx 5200 got about 5fps on the 2nd game test on 3dmark03, which is similar to doom 3. but those were on high settings though. still

Well, i have a geforce4 mx440 64mb 512mb SDRAM PC133 and 1.3Ghz Duron.

I get around 15 to 20 Fps walking around but when there is action, the frames drop really bad to like 2fps.

Not bad for a low spec machine.

Im guessing when the final version comes out i should be getting way more frames since its going to be all optimized and shit.

My Bro&#39;s pc gets around 40 to 50fps but not sure how much it drops in action.

He has a XP2000+ 512mb ddr ram and GeforceFX 5600 128mb.

Fraps dropped the frames to about 8fps with no action because it was recording at the same time.
