View Full Version : Section Move

I was just thinking that with all the modifications to the board going on, now would be a good time if we wanted to get this section a better location. It has 2x as many posts as the Funny stuff section, but is languishing as a subsection of the lounge. I'm proposing a swap, Funny stuff inside the lounge and WN&E where funny stuff is. It should make the section more active and a wider selection of posters. I'm sure there would also be an increase in crap posts from nobs and noobs alike, but hopefully a proportional increase in interesting members/posts.
I'd vote for it, if someone could come up with a suitably daunting name/description,( to keep away the riff-raff :P )

I find this to be an oddly compelling idea, though leaving the front door open would be catnip for the riff-raff.

I like the idea, this area needs an infusion of fresh minds.

I think you are unduly harsh.

I can see why you want to keep the riff out, fair enough. However I have no problem with the raff. Don't tar them with the same brush.

I like the name Stuff World. It sort of covers most things. It could of course be adapted to something like Good Stuff World, I'm not really that fussy.

I'll go along with that.

I really should use a smaller brush, but all that tarring makes my arm tired.

Truth be told, I don't need any more people to disagree with. ;)

I was agreeing with you, I was just agreeing with other people as well. The fact that your views were diametrically opposed doesn't matter. I am just a middle of the road sort of guy.

I suppose I am in an amphibious mood just now. Or am I.

Really am I, I don't know.

If it's about Stuff, we could suggest Stuffy World.

By middle-of-the-road, do you mean, "suggestive of political ambidexterity"?

Cool. B)

:o

How could you say such a thing. I am a conservative, socialist who likes to hold onto our traditions whilst forging ahead with new ideas.

I believe the nanny state should support our entrepreneurship and provide us with welfare benefits to support our small businesses.

I believe that every terrorist should be treated as a freedom fighter, who should be allowed to do and say what he wants, as long as he follows the rules.

In short I believe that my enemy's enemy is the enemy of my enemy.

Does that clear it up at all.

This sentence alone could serve as charter for a world-wide organization devoted to clarification. ;)

Are you sure this won't have the opposite effect. In the lounge it's well seen. I never wander about, I've got bookmarks for all the forums, I never see the main page.

In London they have an exclusive gentlemen's club called The Conservative Club, maybe that would suit j2?

I was thinking that we should conceal the entrance to this section in an innocuous area of another World altogether.
Kind of like MYST.
Seems like it might be a very interesting group if members only by chance happened upon the door.
Kind of like discovering the entrance to the Carlsbad Caverns...

Another compelling view.

I assume that in any case I am to don the mantle of "Token Conservative"?

If so, I must beg accomodation for the occasional guest.

If I can find any. :)

Let's decide firmly on our options, gents, then maybe Rat or Lamsey will consent to allowing us a poll.

You are, of course, free to don any mantle you so choose.

I can't imagine why you would want to carry a fireplace around on your shoulders, but perhaps that is simpler than trying to defend your outre conservative perspective.

Outre?

Non, mon frere.

Hip and Happenin', more like it.

'Tis your....what should I call you?

Surely not liberal.....um...I'll get back to you on that.
