:P looks good. :P The web and search interface need to be more like kazaa lite. It really does. Maybe someone can find a way to block/remove the rest of Sharman`s webpages/crap. :D

To block all ads in kmd260, append these lines to your HOSTS file. It's located in C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts (NT/2K/XP/2K3). Not all of them are necessary to block out all ads though, but I don't have time to test which one should be blocked and which one shouldn't.

It's not supposed to change K++. It's just the original KMD executable (kazza.exe) and random nut's klr.exe . Check in your Start Menu. There should be "Un-Official Kazza Lite 2.6" in the Kazza Lite K++ program group. Run it. klr.exe gives it more features and get's rid of most ads in KMD 2.6 . You now have 2 versions of Kazza. Kazza Lite K++ and KMD 2.6 (no spyware). But there are ads on the top of the search results.

Well I sure won&#39;t be using it until KLExtensions works with it.
KLExtensions is in my opinion, the most important part of K++, and using something without it, would just suck.
I find the KMD to work great, along with klr, and I like the new features, but it&#39;s still missing way too much for it to actually be usable, compared to K++ anyways.
The part I like the most in this KMD, is the search area. Sure has been cleaned up alot compared to the K-Lite one, which isquite a mess.
But one big thing that bugs me about the KMD, is when you add a .manifest file, the area at the bottom beside the player controls, looks god awful, and definitely needs something there. Like Kazap for instance. Even an ad would look better, lol.
But I like how KLExtensions makes the player controls stretch across the bottom as a thin line, in K++, as that&#39;s how I have mine, with nothing else there.

indeed, i agree with you. Kl extensions is very important to turn it into a &#39;Lite&#39; i really miss it. Now KLR doesn&#39;t load any of the dll&#39;s but it should load the kppaddon.dll / cd_clint.dll, that&#39;s what i really would like to see B)

kguihacker (http://www.aldostools.com/kguihacker.zip) will let you hide the adbox and make it look better, it dont show the file playing title though.

but yeah i agree 243 has much nicer features

Thank you all for downloading KaZaA K++ Media Desktop 2.6.

I have managed to get rid off Cydoor. There is NONE of Third-Party software in KaZaA K++ Media Desktop 2.6. So NO SPYWARE and POP-UP&#39;S. And the ONLY ads you will get is in the Search Window.

But there is a BIG problem. Someone is exterminating my software from web sites. I got booted from Geocities and from Tripod. A managed to upload again to Geocities, but it won&#39;t last long.

Please help me.... Host this file on your Web server or on ANY file-sharing network.

but the startpage can be solved i think by just replacing the link

Just a little caveat here: I tried using the ip blocklist from PG in several different firewalls. Tried all the different ways mentioned in the PG forums. The firewalls NEVER did a complete job of blocking ip&#39;s like K++ and eMule and other built in ip blockers did. Every time I shut off the built in blocker and tried just the firewall blocking, I got nasty emails. Been over two months now with the internal blockers in K++ & eMule and others ON, and NO nasty emails.
Also, you can surf the net freely, use auto updaters for Norton/Symantec, McAfee, Microsoft etc., with no problems with the ip blockers in the proggies, but LOTS of problems with them in the firewalls. The firewalls will let riaa etc., get you, but block stuff you WANT, ugh&#33;

Just my own experience.

yes it does just go to options/privacy/ bottom of page-uncheck box-allow other users to browse My Shared Folder.

I have included FTA Speed Up v1.1.2 . The version Vargas suggested doesn&#39;t seem to like Klr or Kazaa. Version 1.1.2 is just an older version of FTA Speed Up I found on Kazaa.

Not realy, cool yeah that people are getting involved to create another spyware free kazaa with more functions, but more effort should be on one kazaa, otherwise how can it ever be improved at a fast state if several are out their.

Once should be used, and consentrate on that 1, so that improvments can be maximised, as one kazaa is being modified.
