That&#39;s better than my PC as well, and without all the background crap to slow it down. They play games like splinter cell, halo, rainbow six 3, and other games they like because of the graphics. If they&#39;re interested in playing a more veriety of games, maybe they&#39;ll choose the ps2. If they like good ol&#39; mario, and just a fun time without serious stuff, maybe they&#39;ll choose the gamecube. If you don&#39;t like the xbox, don&#39;t get it. It&#39;s still a great console with a lot of great games on it (as well as a few lousy ones - just like all consoles). Which system you choose to play your games on is really just a matter of personal preference. What really matters is the quality of the games, most of which are available on multiple platforms. I just don&#39;t see why some people get so defensive about it. It&#39;s almost like they&#39;re afraid everybody will switch to Xbox and their precious PS2 will become obsolete.

when you buy the x-box you are paying for all of the shitty little parts that a GAME CONSOLE&#33;&#33;&#33; doesnt need like a fucking hard-drive and a 733mhz processor, the ps2 is not as &#39;powerful&#39; but it doesnt make any difference because the graphics are the same, how can you explain that in the shops the x-box is already £50 cheaper than the PS2 there is no gamesconsole that can match up to the ps2 also because you dont get errors and failing of the magnificent hard-drive,

Azzz, there are so many things wrong with your previous post I don&#39;t even know where to begin. First of all, I don&#39;t know why you would say the Xbox doesn&#39;t need a hard drive. That&#39;s one of the best things about it. It&#39;s great not having to keep switching and deleting those annoying little memory cards. Plus you can rip mp3&#39;s from your audio CD&#39;s and play the songs in your games.

Next you imply that the graphics are the same on PS2 as they are on Xbox. That&#39;s just completely false. If you read reviews on any gaming site, like IGN or Gamespot, you&#39;ll see that in almost every game that is available on both platforms, they always say the graphics are better on Xbox.

Finally, you say Xbox is cheaper than PS2, therefore it must be inferior. That&#39;s just another ridiculous argument. I don&#39;t know why it&#39;s cheaper. Maybe it&#39;s because of all those &#39;crappy&#39; parts they use. Or maybe it&#39;s because it&#39;s made in America. But whatever the reason, it&#39;s still better than PS2. That&#39;s just a fact. Anybody who refuses to believe that is just in denial.

I don&#39;t understand where the Xbox is better than PS2 thing started, no ones defending the ps2 =P Looks to me like people are just glorifying a system that came out years after another by comparing them.

True PS2 has more games, Xbox is a hell of a lot newer than PS2&#33; Plus Xbox didn&#39;t have an entire library to start out with like PS2 did from PS1 (Or whatever its called now).

I use my PC as a console sometimes anyway. I use my TV as a screen and plug in a PC game controller. Instant fun&#33;

Several things piss me off about Nintendo. When I bought my SNES, they kept saying they were working on a CD drive that would let you play these huge, awesome games on your SNES. Of course it never came out. Then they made a similar promise for the N64 with the 64DD, and of course that also never happened (in the U.S. at least). Now I&#39;m glad I chose Xbox over Gamecube because it looks like they&#39;re lagging way behind in their online capabilities. I think Gamecube will be Nintendo&#39;s last console. They just don&#39;t know how to compete. Every time their competition releases a new system, Nintendo simply abandons their current system, along with any promised add-ons for it, and create a whole new system. And of course they&#39;re never backwards compatible.

No, he&#39;s correct. Sony was developing the CD drive for Nintendo, but when they abandoned it, Sony decided to release it as their own stand alone console. So in effect, Nintendo is responsible for creating it&#39;s own biggest competitor. That&#39;s a fact.
