How Do You Browse

I've been wondering about this for a while now.
I'd like to know what's the most favored way of browsing the forum.

btw, I use method 3 - tabbed browser (Firebird)

i used the check musicworld then come to the lounge. now i checks soulseekworld then the lounge then the radio bit. listen to my show this week.

Index page, sometimes top-down, sometimes bottom-up, depending on what mood I'm in..

I normaly browser around all the forums in the morning while i'm checking my emails and stuff.Then after i'll pop back & forth on the active posts.If i'm not to busy &room on my taskbar sometimes just leave a window open,hit refresh now &again. :)

i go from top to bottom, skipping Questions, Development, Movieworld and Gamesworld

i don't think i've ever read Funny Stuff - always get distracted by the lounge (well just the Sexiest Ladies thread)

I use the View New Posts query to browse - I know then that I see practically all the topics that have new posts.

Other than that - I use Mozilla Firebird, so naturally I take advantage of the tabbed windows :)

I usually broswe the site by randomly selecting a forum to visit. I don't usually have more than one tab* open (unless I am checking other topics while posting a reply).


*Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org) is a browser which allows tabbed browsing. There is a Windows (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/default.mspx) and Linux (http://www.linuxiso.org/) version avaliable.

I usually go browse through my favourite sections one by one (Movieworld, Bookworld, Gameworld and, of course, the Lounge). Other sections I go to if I see an interesting topic from the index page.

i guess tabbed best decribes me: i open each world in a new tab, then i go through and open each topic which grabs me in its own tab, then as i finish with a section, i close that tab...by the time i do this, theres a dozen or so tabs open at the top-each a different topic; then i read and reply etc.

Some would say they're more efficient. :)

I'm somewhat surprised at the huge percentage of folks using method 1 actually.
I found it to be a pretty clunky way of surfing the forum back when I was using IE,
so I used multiple windows.

Lately I've been going straight to the "Report Anything Unusual" thread first, I love the drama.
Plus it's a good indicator of who you should avoid and watch out for on this board - seems to be a lot of newcomers lately.

I normally look through the index site in the different sections - if I want to see some replys on my posts I am first to the section.
