sorry if it's been discussed before, but i've never seen it discussed

the story last week about the two japanese guys caught filesharing using winny sparked a little interest in me
the reason they were caught was using the messaging facility, because the main program is apparently anonymous, according to what i've read, it hides your ip

if this is true (that it really is an anonymous p2p) then why not attempt to use winny ourselves?
the interface is in japanese, but then there'll probably be guides on how to use it in english

anyone else thought about this and dismissed it for a seemingly obvious reason which i may have missed?

You also need a file called noderef.txt it's a node list

I tried running it both 1.14 and 2.0.7.1 and they seem to be connecting but i cant see any node connections in the program its also downloading and uploading somthing but i dont know what? :huh:

If the program is anonymous why hasnt someone made one for english speaking people as this is what is needed agaist the riaa and mpaa.

exactly my point...

we need someone who's good with software to translate from japanese to english (if the program really is anonymous, that is...)
