i treid clicking on movie links, or quick links to download in emule. i had uninstalled sheareaza, before i installed emule, and now when i try clicking on a link for a server list or links for files, there are error messages about file types. i don't know how to associate them or what ever it wants me to do. it was fine until i got rid of everything related to sheareaza. what do i do?

If it still doesnt work try:
1. Start/Run
2. Type regedit
3. Find the pathway "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ed2k"
4. Delete this.
5. Open emule-preferences (button should be active) and click it again.

i did that, then went back to the web page where you can add server links, and it gave the error, windows can't find ed2k// serverlist and so on. after that it says that maybe the site was typed incorrectly when it wasn't. it has something to do with my pc. but i don't know what.

what was the exact error message?

Did you do the registry editing? And the reselection of the "ED2k Links" button.

Not sure if the shareaza key's needed to be deleted too. I'll get back to you on that.

Sounds like your problem, and it works here.
