NetLimiter cause I couldn't use emule without it.

My ISP would cut me off so fast.

Thankfully the difference between mods if not comparable to the gulf between Kazaa and D-Kazaa and between those two and KL. With eMule, the differneces boil down to personally preferences.

I like eMule Plus. It's been very stable for me. I connect within a minute or two. My dl is always maxed. I've found the GUI user-friendly and very adaptable. CPU usage is very reasonable.

Well, that's my 2 cents. ;)

I am relatively an eMule "first-timer"...

What exactly is "eMule Plus" or an "eMule Mod" for that matter? Is this something worth pursuing or downloading to beef-up an existing eMule v.30e install?

Quite frankly, my internet connection is not exactly small potatoes (1.5Mb up/128Kb dn DSL) and I think I could be doing better than the average 5.5kBps I am receiving now. EMule has been fantastic for locating rare files and new software but the speeds and this "credit system" are just plain arse. A little less "wait" would be nice.

emuleplus because im a betatester there lol :P
emule mods and emule plus are individual clients rather than addons. (Mods means modified/modifications etc). They do the same thing, but have different features or different ways of doing things etc, so its down to choice.
check my sticky topics in support "Common topics" for tips to improve speeds. its in the emuleplus forum.

My eMule Plus CPU/Swap File usage:
3 % CPU
25 288 kb Swap File

Oh, and @thisiswhoweare:
I installed an RC of eMule Plus once... It crashed the computer and used 100 % of CPU...
So I stopped using eMule until the Final 1i got out

I still prefer the tried and trusted original version of eMule still :)

The eyes on that mule are too cute enough to move to an eMule mod :D  ;)

I use Emule plus (http://emuleplus.tk). It does what I need it too. Connects fast, stable, speeds are good and looks nice.

there are alot of settings you can adjust to save on CPU using, also.
such as disabling the queue list, using flat progress bars, reducing queue size, etc.

check the emule FAQ for full info.

I'm an inveterate FS user. When switching to Win 7 64bit the ONLY thing that would work was SharkX ! :D

As a bonus there is a stable url for both the emule and KAD to reference. An issue that I have had 4 a loooong time.

You could have posted in the "what's the best version" thread instead of a 2003 one. Just saying...

What do you mean with the stable URL part, by the way?
