I had a problem where I downloaded a mp3 and when I went to play it it played part of another song. It didnt matter what I downloaded after it played the same corrupt song. I deleted all files did a scan disc and defrag. That was no help. Next I removed k-lite and installed version 2.4.3. Everything is fixed.
What caused the problem before and how to prevent it. Any ideas.
Thx

Scan your files before you play and get a mp3 checker.

Read this (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=70468) and then go to ilwsoftware (http://www.ilwsoftware.tk/) page. You'll find the tools you're looking for.
BTW. Video Lan (http://www.videolan.org/) is a tool with which you can preview a partialy downloaded media file.
