View Full Version : That Annoying Little Message....

Well, I think I already know the answer. I've checked through My Controls>Board Settings and don't see an option to not have that message shown after I've edited one of my posts or replies. It's an admission that the author had to go back and rethink/correct/fix something and I'd prefer not to have to admit to the errors of my ways...lol
Did I miss an option or is it just not possible in the KL Discussion Board?
Thanks,
mrlessk :)

There is an option for it, but it's not open to regular members, since it might be abused.

yeah I know that it can be made that option and I also know the mods can do it :P

coz in the report anything mods edit thanks without the message about being edited

but not a good idea too have it have ppl quoting someone and then no I didn't say that" sort of thing

It's an option, but it can be disabled to regular users by the mods/admin. It's really a good thing, especially on this board.

If you want to people to know what you fixed, just type "Edit: (and continue/change/inform)."

There is in the Admin Control Pannel. It can be turned on for groups, not individual members. Also I think like Lamsey said, it will most probally be abussed.

It would just be abused by people trying to conceal the fact that they have modified their post*.

*Obviously I only use it to correct grammatical errors .

Ok, I now understand the reasons it is not offered as an option.
Thanks to all for your input!

Yep! That's what I was asking about Billy_Dean.
Is yours from the KL Forum or another Forum?
The top of this image is what I see when I try an edit.
Bottom is what you see in yours.
So, as indicated, as a "regular' member I do not have that Edit Option. :(
