Would any of you guys find it useful to have eMule hashes here, considering the scarce sources on KL? If it's just in plain text format (because for some reason the quicklink-type won't work) is it of any use?

It would be really helpful if we could have some ed2k links in bookworld. I will post my requests in the requests section.

Well then, I'll get the text links up sometime tomorrow. It'll be a while, but they'll be there. :)

Don't spend all ur time off this week working. Make sure u save ample time for the consumption of mass quantities of nog or similar adult beverages. :P

Seriously, I think we all appreciate the effort. Congrats on the bump and keep up the good work!

:lol: What makes you think I won't be enjoying adult beverages while I do it? After all, it's just drag-copy-paste.

no emule hashs would not be helpful as a mater of fact kazaa hachs are not useful here ether kazaa and mule both are suited to movies more then for books or music
if u want books try soulseak
as most of u know i have some vary large lists of books in the can here on this sight buty i have not updated it in a long time i now have 1000s more books shared then are in the can here and i wont be updating it any more

1st off the idiots on this sight still have not fixed the html prob so u cant post quick links this has been going on for 6 monthes at least despite numeris pms to mods

2nd off kazaa is just not set up right to do books on as it dose not reconize .txt or .lit as book type file types so if u do a search for documents it filters out .txt and .lit file types out so u never see them unless u do a search for evey file type and if u do that u get so much garbage that it just not worth wading thru. the best way to find books on kazaa is wait for some to start dl a book from u and then browse there files (since they are dling a book from you it stands to reasion they may have a few u want) the only problem with this is the idiots here on this sight have put the "do not alow outhers to dl my list option" in klite and its defualt on so u can browse most peps list the idiots think that by adding this option that they can fool the irra (the bad guys) by not leting any one browse ur list this is totaly false they dont do it bye geting ur whole list they do it by starting a dl from you and they dont need ur entire list to dl from u
not only this but bye law they have to dl at least 2 mins of a song or movie too be able sue u for it just a list of ur files will not stand up in court cus they cant prove that u dint just put fake stuff in there so u could dl from others with out being canceled for not shareing. but any way i have told this to them many times but they still have the security patch as part of there klite install package and its still defualt turned on they still have not fixed the html on this sight to let u post quick links and kazaa is now old tech there are now p2ps out that will do errior corection and even serv up parshal dls so u dont have to wait for some one to have the entire file u want u can start geting it before they finish dling it allthis meens files are much faster at propagateing thur there networks winmx is 1 of theese new bread of p2ps

back to the topic kazaa and e mule are both optmized for large files like movies

they both suck at books and music
soulseak seems the best so far for books and music. winmx is best at dling movies (when u can find a sourse) is the fastest and irc is best for movies if u cant find a sourse on winmx(kazaa or emule)

if u want books come to soulseak room KLF BookWorld
klite has been removed from my comp so dont try to find me there

Strange, because I have no problems using Kazaa or (mostly) eMule for books.

Soulseek isn't good for anything, really. I've given it a few chances but it never delivers. WinMX is even worse.

It really is a shame that you deleted your books-in-a-can list. It was a good resource.

I found very few books on emule too but they're small and if you condemn emule for books and do not post links how will it improve? Go ahead MN post the links.
I only have emule because I cant get k-lite to work through either SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy server but thats another story (http://klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=90709).

Maybe try blubster clean for sharing books.

Its strange how the board allows mp2p http://klboard.ath.cx/index.php?act=ST&f=18&t=91599 hashes but not ed2k?

MagicNakor

That is strange. Maybe the support for ed2k has been turned off, because its fairly wide-known, whereas mp2p isn't.

Ouch, MN. Looks like ur attempt to build up a hash file has suffered a setback. I can't fault QuietSilence! if no cooperation was forthcoming, but u may want to remove that thread from Books in a can as it is now worthless. Too bad.

To be honest, I don't share most of my ebooks on eMule b/c the files r so small and would bump up my shared file number high enough to get blacklisted. I do share my audio books and complete volume archives on the network. I can post these if you decide to start another thread of verified hashes.

You can always post your hashes (KL or ed2k) in either the canned section or the verified hashes section.

I could but there's the laziness factor. :D

I tend to wait until someone makes a request. Just figured I'd throw any hashes on a thread that was started for specific series — like u did w/Piers Anthony or White Wolf. Like I said, lazy. :P

Edit:
===
Besides anyone looking for a hash can click on my book link and ask me for any hashes I have. I'd be happy to give it to them. see, it pays to be lazy. :rolleyes:

ed2k links work fine - see example

http://klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=...=0&#entry787628 (http://klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=92111&st=0&#entry787628)

you just stick them in like this

(ebooks) Teach Yourself Visual C++ 6 in 21 days.pdf (ed2k://|file|(ebooks).Teach.Yourself.Visual.C++.6.in.21.days.pdf|7259905|4B2BB6A62619AF8823485F7003ADEC90|/)
